After completing the associate degree in Database, the student will be prepared to manage data, organize and store data for any company or organization. Courses that are required for the associate degree in database are Inside Microsoft Office, Intro to Computer Science, Program Design, PC Support Technician I and II, and Internet Technologies. Also required are Intro to HTML, Intro to Networking, Microsoft Windows, Fundamental Database Design, Advanced Visual Basic and Database Management.

Other courses are System Administration for Microsoft SQL Server, Web and Database Applications, Computer Language, Advanced Database Applications, SQL Server Database Design and Implementation, Systems Analysis and Design, and Data Analysis and Design. 

Database Management will teach the fundamentals of the techniques, skills, principles, concepts and values of database management. You will learn about the necessary functions of managing databases, components of management systems and how to develop logical databases. Intro to Networking explains the fundamentals of networking. It teaches you about the switches, routers, bridges and hubs as well as protocols and access methods.

Database Applications teaches you about the fundamentals of security implementation and principles. You will learn about the computer environment and authentications. You will learn about the concepts needed to secure the database with firewalls and other security concepts.

Although every college is different and has different titles for the specific courses, all courses will teach the same skills and fundamentals needed to complete the associate degree in database.
